What's Killing Your Sperm
'If you hope to spawn a brood of kids someday, do yourself a favour: Keep that laptop off your lap. An Argentinian study published in Fertility and Sterility found that electromagnetic frequencies – such as those from Wi-fi – can kill sperm. For the experiment, the scientists separated sperm samples into two pots. One was placed close to a laptop with the Wi-fi function activated and left there for four hours. The other had the same environmental conditions but with no laptop present.
At the end of the experiment, the scientists discovered that 25 per cent of the sperm that had been left near the laptop had stopped swimming and undergone changes in their genetic code. For the sperm with no laptop in the vicinity, the death toll was 14 per cent.'
