US school bans mobile phones on buses

18-Apr-2019

The Williston District 29 School Board made some changes on how its code of conduct will affect children and updated their cell phone policy to exclude the use of cell phones on buses.

... the board also reviewed policy JICJ, which is the cell phone policy of the district. The change to this policy will affect students because students will no longer be able to use cell phones, even while on the bus. The policy reads, “Cell phones will not be used on the bus during rides to and from school or during school-day field trips.” Smart watches have also been added to the list of devices that are not allowed to be used during instructional time. This policy was approved unanimously by a show of hands.
